Ignition Switch wiring - Chevelle Tech Sep 15, 2007This is typical GM ignition switch wiring. The standard (non-adjustable) switch operates in the opposite direction from the tilt column switch. The vehicle wiring harness is the same regardless of the column type. The difference is that the two connectors on the vehicle harness have to be twisted 180 degrees in order to connect from one to the 1969-70 Pontiac Ignition Switch | American Autowire 1969-70 Pontiac Ignition Switch. In 1969 and 1970, Pontiac used 2 unique ignition switches, one for tilt and one for non-tilt. The other divisions also had 2, tilt and non tilt as well. The Pontiacs were unique in that they were different than all other GM lines as they had 1 extra blade on them.
