I suggest the
dealer/mfr. or Clymer books. In the meantime, go to the library
reference section. stacks should have what you need.0Below is a diagram of the electric starting system of your Yamaha. I have a couple of tips to help pinpoint the problem. First, check to see if there is battery voltage to the starting relay. If there is, use a large screwdriver to bridge across the two large cables attached to the top of the relay. If this causes the starter to spin, then you've got a bad relay. If there's voltage to the relay, yet the starter does not spin when you bridge the two contacts, then you've got either a bad starter motor, or a faulty electrical connection between the relay and the starting motor.
If the starting relay does not make a clicking sound when you push the starting button, then you've got either a defective starter button, or wiring goin to the relay . I hope this is helpful.0Hi, Anonymous for this scenario you will need your service/owners manual if you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Yamaha, despair not, for a mere $0 you can download another one.
