480V 3 PHASE TO 240V SINGLE PHASE TRANSFORMER WIRING DIAGRAM
480V 3ph to 240V 1ph question. - Electrician Talk
Aug 03, 2014Yes, that would work. However, the transformer need not be 3-phase. A single phase 480vac to 240vac transformer will work too. You would need a 10kVA minimum transformer, dry-type, 1-phase, 480-240vac, copper or aluminum wound (your preference). Remember to bond your X4 terminal in the transformer, otherwise you've an ungrounded system.480V Delta vs 480V Y - Electrician Talk - ProfessionalJun 08, 2015240V/120V, 3 Phase, 4 Wire System @ 60Hz - ElectricianJun 01, 2013single phase 480v - Electrician Talk - ProfessionalJul 16, 2011Need 480 Volt 3 phase from 240 1 phase sourceJul 03, 2011See more results
How to Convert 240 Single Phase to 480 3 Phase | Sciencing
Apr 25, 2017If all you have is single-phase 240-volt current and you need 480-volt three-phase current, you can step the voltage up to 480 volts using a transformer. Once at 480 volts, the single-phase current must be converted to three-phase using a phase converter.
