CPT CODE RECONSTRUCTION INTEROSSEOUS MEMBRANE
Late Reconstruction of the Interosseous Membrane with Bone
Background: The purpose of this study was to report our long-term outcomes following reconstruction of the forearm interosseous membrane (IOM) with bone-patellar tendon-bone (BPTB) graft for treatment of chronic Essex-Lopresti injuries. Methods: We identified 33 patients who underwent IOM reconstruction with BPTB graft for chronic Essex-Lopresti injuries over a 20-year treatment interval.

Reconstructing the Interosseous Membrane: A Technique
Reconstruction of the interosseous membrane is an emerging procedure designed to help restore anatomic and biomechanical relationships within the forearm after a longitudinal instability injury. The indication for this reconstruction is proven acute or chronic longitudinal instability of the forearm. This technique uses a synthetic braided graft tied over endobuttons at radial and ulnar tunnels.
Reconstruction of the interosseous membrane of the forearm
Reconstruction of the interosseous membrane of the forearm with a graft substitute: A cadaveric study. Interosseous membrane reconstruction in the clinical situation represents a relatively large volar surgical dissection to expose the IOM. This may lead to postsurgical scar tissue formation that inhibits forearm pronation and supination.Cited by: 68Publish Year: 2005Author: Samir G. Tejwani, Keith L. Markolf, Prosper Benhaim
