LT1045 BLOWING 20 AMP FUSE - lawnmowerforum
Jun 17, 2016I have a 2008 LT1045. The problem I am having is that when I turn the NEW(replaced thinking that would fix the problem) Ignition switch to the ON position it will blow the 20 amp fuse. I can't even turn the key to start, it blows it on the ON position. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated!! Could it be a solenoid issue, or something bigger?Cub Cadet LT1045 Keeps blowing 20 amp fuseJun 10, 2014cub cadet LT1042 blowing main fuseOct 30, 2012Cub Cadet blowing fusesMar 25, 2012See more results
Keep Blowing Main Fuse On Cub Cadet 1042 with Kohler
Sep 26, 2009Re: Keep Blowing Main Fuse On Cub Cadet 1042 with Kohler Engine i would lean more towards the deck causing a worn out PTO to shift enough so that the coil shorts to the chassis. they normally draw under 5A, so to blow a 20A fuse it would nearly be a dead a short.Author: Vtxrider

The stator is made of copper wires and powers the alternator when the magnet on the rotor spins past it at high speed.
LT1045 Blowing Fuses, won't stay running - MyTractorForum
May 01, 2012If the PTO has a direct short in it, it'll blow the fuse as soon as it's turned on. If it's intermittant, it could blow it at any time. A lot of vibration up there and heat, too. If running the tractor around the yard, hittin' bumps and giving yourself a "wild ride" doesn't blow the fuse when the PTO is off, that's probably the culprit.Author: Andrew2
