Personal Recounts Worksheet - My Wonderful Weekend
Use this teaching resource when introducing personal recounts to your students. Read the text, My Wonderful Weekend, together as a class. Students then complete the worksheet by drawing and writing about what they did on the weekend.

Did the author enjoy their weekend? How do you know? Introduce the recount text type, as outlined on slide 5 of the Introduction to Personal Recounts PowerPoint. Discuss the purpose of a personal recount, as outlined on slide 6. Encourage the students to suggest other events or experiences that they could write a personal recount about.
