Jun 18, 2011If the fuse is getting hot only on one side i would be looking at the fuse clamp & or wiring to the clamp to be the fault there as dirty / loose / poor connections to the fuse will create high resistance which will certainly cause heat around the fuse & also explains why one side of the fuse is hot & the other side not .

Aug 12, 2011Fuse for AC melting the fusebox - very hot ( 1984 - 533i0. When you replaced the AC fan the first time did it solve the problem of the fuse overheating for a period of time - or did it continue to burn hot. My AC unit and fan seems to be working fine. The only big problem is that the fuse gets as hot as a solidering Iron and is melting the fuse box.
