Any suggestions in getting that one switch to stay ON? HELP!!! One switch in my fuse box won't let me turn it on!? If it still won't stay on you probably have a bad breaker inStatus: OpenAnswers: 7get a technician to look at your stove and replace the fuse or breaker that is causing the power to trip. Your electrical wiring may have been damaged. If you are still having problems after replacing the fuse/breaker then you are going to need an electrician.Best answer · 1Turn off your stove and try it again. If it still won't stay on you probably have a bad breaker in your box. They will get weak when they get old and need to be replaced. If it stays on go back to your stove and turn it on. If it trips the breaker you have a bad burner on your stove and it needs to be replaced. Your stove should have a 220 or 240 volt circuit of it's own but I don't know for sure what type of stove you have.0Something on that circuit is causing a dead short. Dead shorts are a problem where the electricity goes thru the circuit really fast, too fast and it causes heat which trips your circuit breaker ( switch ) . You need an electrician to check for ther problem and fix it. Until then you won't be able to turn your switch back on.0Unplug each and every thing from each and every of the merchants that are tied to this breaker. Then attempt the breaker lower back, yet do no longer touch the breaker field itself once you turn the breaker lower back on. If it journeys off as we talk, it's time to call an electrician in to diagnose and fasten your situation. If the breaker remains on, some thing you have unplugged became inflicting the situation. It incredibly sounds extra like a situation on your wiring someplace nonetheless.0Could be the breaker is actually tripping, or, the breaker itself could be damaged. Sometimes the heat up enough for the metal to warp inside as they are tripping, then they never fit tight enough for a good contact again.0Replace the switch and you really need to put the stove on a circuit by itself. I wouldn't put all them lights on one circuit but it can be done but really the stove should be by itself0the stove wires are shorted, have an electrician check it.0Breaker won't flip back to "on" position? | Yahoo AnswersSep 23, 2010Status: OpenWhat does it mean when a fuse box switch won't resetJul 02, 2007 See more results

My circuit breaker won't reset. What's wrong?
3) Another thing that will trip a breaker is too many lights and appliances drawing more amperage than the rating of the breaker. Excess electric current gradually overheats a thermal link in the breaker and usually, if that’s the problem, the breaker will reset but trip again a few minutes after being reset.
