So drivers side has 1, 3, 5, 7, with 7 being towards the cab and the passenger side is 2, 4, 6, 8 with 8 being towards the cab. The firing order is 1,8,7,2,6,5,4,3, which is different from the old sbc motors in case your used to those. It's a good sign that your misfire is on #5 since that's not an afm cylinder so chances are it's not a lifter
