DEAD TACH!!! I connected the signal wire to the only treminal left on the HEI distributor cap, but I am not sure it the right treminal for this wire.Hot Rods - HEI ignition | The H.A.M.B.Jan 06, 2019Technical - Duraspark II/HEI problem | The H.A.M.B.Sep 12, 2014Chevy HEI problems - What's going on here? | The H.A.M.B.Dec 01, 2011Wiring tach to points distributor? | The H.A.M.B.Jun 19, 2011See more results
How to Wire an HEI Distributor Cap | It Still Runs
There are two wires in the plug: the hot wire and the tachometer wire. If you are updating from an old distributor, splice the old distributor hot wire to the hot wire of the HEI primary plug. Splice the tachometer gauge wire if so equipped, into the tachometer wire on the HEI primary plug.
