Loose Coupler Radio - Peebles Originals
Hope you people like this Classic project. The Loose Coupler was used by the Navy, in the early days of radio as it was so selective and sensitive at the same time. A two-circuit tuner, as the loose coupler, is one of the only ways selectivity can be accomplished without sacrificing sensitivity.

Loose coupler crystal radio - The RadioBoard Forums
Dec 10, 2007Don't be mis-led by the term "loose coupler". The coupling between the coils is actually very tight, both inductively and capacitively. The operating principle can be similar to the Mystery set. Because there are so many turns of small wire close wound on a lossy form and the detector was, at best, galena, , the Q of the coils is very low.
Geoff's Fascinating Loose Coupler Radios
Geoff Roberts has built several nice loose coupler radio receivers. The loose coupler radio was popular before the days of broadcast radio. Loose coupler radios covered the long wave frequencies, but would go to the medium wave bands. These radios used galena detectors, but also have a germanium diode detector to make tuning them easier. Geoff pays attention to detail with his expert

Loose Couplers - SparkMuseum
Also known as a "Receiving Transformer", loose couplers were used extensively in receivers built during the "teens" coupler consists of two coils, a primary and a secondary. The primary coil is stationary and is usually provided with a slider for varying the inductance by single turns.

Loose coupling - Wikipedia
This is a UML diagram illustrating an example of loose coupling between a dependent class and a set of concrete classes, which provide the required behavior: For comparison, this diagram illustrates the alternative design with strong coupling between the dependent class and a provider: Other forms
