A: Some Marshall amps, such as the JTM45, 1959HW, and 1987X are two-channel amps. However, these are not traditional channel-switching amps. Each channel has its own input jack(s), and to access that channel you need to plug into the appropriate jack. On these Marshalls, though, the channels are also voiced quite differently.

Aug 04, 2019I have a Marshall 1987 MKII. I received it used last year. Since day 1 I have had an issue where trying to run the jumper between the two channels and plug into a 3rd input with my guitar results in 0 sound output. Each jack had worked independently, but jumpering did nothing.
