The Epoch is $50 more than the Scrittore retailed for due to being a larger typewriter, but given the quality control improvements, if you want a brand-spanking new manual typewriter, I recommend it. I rate the Royal Epoch five out of five. The Epoch retails for $249 from Hammacher-Schlemmer.
