Sep 18, 2005Called HWH and they said to replace the corroded fuse holder. I removed the melted fuse holder, replaced with only a new 40 amp blade fuse to observe. When raising the jacks, the wires and fuse itself stay completely cool. But when pressing the "STORE" button, the jacks retract, but the wire and 40 amp fuse itself get very hot.

Our cars seem to be notorious for melting fuse blocks. My car does have a new one and is already melting. Is it because of the material used? Crappy electrical system? Inferior design? Or just a combination of everything listed? I'm sure I know the answer, I just want something a little more scientific.. maybe a cure
