Jan 02, 2022This may well have been a factory-furnished motor. That mill had a 3 phase 'motor starter' with overload heaters and 'stop', 'forward' and 'reverse' pushbuttons. These worked 'contactors' (relays). I got rid of that 3 phase motor and the motor starter/controls and went with a single phase motor and shop-built jackshaft.
