Dec 26, 2011Sparx Battery Eliminator Wiring. Hi, I have a 1972 Triumph Tiger 650. I'm getting ready to completely rewire the bike, I am installing a Pazon electronic ignition in it. Also, I'm keeping the battery, but I'm also planning on installing a Sparx capacitor battery eliminator. Where should I wire in the Sparx

Feb 12, 2012Heya John I can offer no input on the sparks kit, but when the classic owners get on here, they will sure as eggs tell you to clean all electrical connections, and coat with dielectric grease, going on your comments about damp weather and such.

Feb 27, 2010Thanks. I have a Boyer on my a65- and its a pain to start. With the points it was a 1-2 kick deal even with a lame battery and fouled plugs. With the Boyer the batt has to be topped off, i need good gas and 5 minutes of good kicking. From the info on this board, that seems to be what a Boyer does. was thinking of a podtronics or a sparx, led brake and indicator lights, and with a new 3 phase

Aug 19, 2012Technically, yes. But only in Triumph lingo it is called a condensor and is used to supress the spark across the points. What Triumph refers to as a capacitor is a larger unit (approx 1 inch diameter and 3 inches long) with 2 leads and is used as a battery substitute.
