wwwa››Nintendo›Wii›Wii ConsoleDec 26, 2007I have the same problem, but only with the new Mario Kart game; it only occurs when I'm playing against people online. I don't know what the problem is, I've spoken with people at gamestop, and they mentioned something about the game being made on a dual layer disc, which requires the lens of the wii to be perfectly clean.I blew the Wii out with an air blower and all was well. Apparently dust settled on the optic.Best answer · 53Hi there,

Here's a link to this great service Good luck!Hi Sky606, have you tried cleaning the game disk? Have you tried using other game disks in the wii to make sure it's not just one disk that is causing the problem. Do you have a Nintendo Wii CD / DVD Discs and Lens Auto Cleaning System ? If you don't you might want to purchase one and see if that helps, because your wii lens might need cleaning ! If all of that fails, your wii may need repairs, the lens that reads the CD/DVD could need adjustment or replacement ! One other small note,I always have a small external fan blowing on my wii when in use so that the wii wont over heat. Heat kills electronics ! I Hope this advice helps.3clean the whole system not just the lens it probley is to dusty in the system. you can also try to remove the power source from the back of the system not the wall wait a min or 2 plug it back in turn it on with out the disc in it and go to the load screen where it says start put the disc in and click start. but i suggest you take it in for a cleaning at a small local game store they usuall dont charge if they dont have to do anything but dust it out. if that still fails then you most likly need a new cd drive.3Is it just one game that does this? Does it happen in the middle of a game or right away? Is the game an import? I would call Nintendo on this one.2Either flip the disc the other way and put it back in the Wii, fix any scratches on the disc, or send the Wii to Nintendo.0Your discs might be scratched, the disc reader might be faulty or dirty. You should try to clean both the disc and the drive.0My wii says (An error has accurreds the Eject button, remove the Game disc, and turn off the power to the consolese read the wii Operations Manual for further intructions) ONLY ON CALL OF DUTY BLACK OPS AND THE DRIVE MAKES LOTS OFF NOISE26I blew it out with air and so far its working. Dust probably settled on the optic lens. I used my old air compressor, but you can buy some compressed air in a can from Wal Mart for $15 - you just have to have a drivers license to buy some. I hope you got yours fixed!!! I also did here a clicking sound when it messed up.26Hi all. After doing some heavy research after getting the "An error has occurred. Press eject button and remove, then turn the wii console off" I was lead to believe most likely a laser replacement was needed. After opening up the console and inspecting the drive. I come to find out something (cardboard transformers coin) was caught deep inside the wii which wasn't allowing it to move back and forth freely.20
